What is your founding story?Our founder, Alanna Fusaro, was living in New York City and had many special occasions cut short because her feet were in pain. She found herself daydreaming how great it would be if her heels could fold to flats. So Alanna set out to invent it.She saw this product as an opportunity to build the footwear brand she always wished existed. A brand with functionality, a source for inspiration, thoughtful design, accessible and speaks to you - not down to you. The company's DNA would be rooted in industrial design fundamentals and use 3D printing and CAD design to challenge the traditional fashion design process and create opportunities for invention.WHAT IS YOUR DESIGN DNA?The cornerstone of VICE VERSA’s product design DNA is old meets new - a light hearted mix of the retro glam of Hollywood, the feminine style of Georgia O'Keeffe with space grade metals and materials.VICE VERSA’s design process is to conceptualize many ideas-then narrow down to the very best few pieces to manufacture. why doesn't this exist yet?We were wondering the same thing! Our best guess is because this is a very difficult product to invent. Not only does it need to look good, but it needs to support a lot of weight (1,000+ lbs of weight multiplies down the heel). It specifically took us 100s of iterations to make a functional product and 500+ iterations to refine the product to be where it is today.Also, innovations in computer aided modeling and 3D printing make now the perfect time for a folding heel to be invented.are they sustainable?Our first step towards sustainability is our preorder model. This helps us to not over produce.In addition, we are producing the shoes with a small, family run factory to ensure fair and safe working conditions.Longer term, we are committed to sustainability and actively reducing our carbon footprint across our supply chain.are they safe?Absolutely! This product is the result of 3.5+ years of research and development. We've worked with top mechanical engineers to refine the technology. We also have tested the durability and reliability with Boeing quality engineers to insure the heel locks strong and does not wobble.HOW DO THEY WORK?VICE VERSAs fold to flats in seconds, with a click of a button, thanks to our patent pending foldable heel technology.They work by having an extra strong push button to release and lock the heel. Can I modify or cancel my order? As processing starts immediately after purchase, we cannot change your order once it is placed and confirmed. This includes a product change, address change, or a cancellation request.
HOW DO I KNOW IF THE SHOES WILL FIT?All of our styles run true to size and are based on US sizes. Most shoe styles incorporate elastic for great fit accuracy.If there are no half sizes are available, we suggest sizing down to the nearest whole size. what is your shipping policy?VICE VERSA offers complimentary standard shipping on all continental U.S. orders. We ship to Alaska and Hawaii with a surcharge.Your VICE VERSA heels are estimated to ship 1-3 business days after placing your order and to arrive within 3-6 business days after the package has shipped. Please note, due to availability, some products will have extended fulfillment times or be made to order. For those products a delivery estimate will be listed under the 'Add to Cart' button. We use UPS and USPS for shipments.For US orders, expedited 2-day shipping can be added at checkout. what is your return policy?After you receive your VICE VERSAs you have 14 days to return the product for a refund to your original payment method. The return shipping cost is $14 (waived for exchanges). Any items purchase on sale (15% discount or more) can only be returned for store credit or exchange, with no refunds.For a return to be accepted the product will be inspected and must be in original, unworn condition. Returns deemed worn are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may result in no refund to original payment, full or partial store credit or us mailing the shoe back to you. If you receive a shoe with quality imperfections, please email us within 7 days of receiving the shoes. can i gift someone vice versas?Absolutely! The gift of comfort ❤️. If you know their size, the fit is straightforward, all shoes run to size. If there are no half sizes are available, we suggest sizing down. We also have easy exchanges if the fit isn't quite right.If you don't know their size, our gift cards make excellent gifts too!how do i redeem my gift card?Ooo la la! Super easy. Input the gift card number during checkout and apply it to the balance in the cart.can i return a gift?Yes, gifts are subject to our 14-day returns policy.
