The Story Behind Vice Versa
Heels that will never hurt
What started as a personal frustration became a patented innovation, and a brand built on the belief that style should never mean sacrifice.
OUR FOUNDER
Meet Alanna
It all started with a pair of flats stuffed in my bag.
I was working in fashion in New York, running around in heels all day. My feet were killing me, but I refused to give up style for comfort. So there I was—like so many women—carrying a backup pair of flats everywhere I went.
"I've always believed women shouldn't have to choose between fashion and functionality."
Then came the aha moment.
What if I could make a heel that looked like a Jimmy Choo... but folded flat? With an industrial design degree from Carnegie Mellon and a passion for problem-solving, I spent years hand-prototyping a shoe that could do both.
Every pair is designed with the same dedication to craftsmanship I learned in Italy, blending timeless elegance with cutting-edge engineering.

Florence
Six months studying traditional shoemaking with a master Italian artisan.
500+ Prototypes
Thousands of iterations. Broken shoes. A few tears. But we never stopped.
The Patent
Our foldable heel mechanism officially patented—a luxury shoe that transforms from heels to flats effortlessly.
Vice Versa Today
Loved by thousands of women who refuse to compromise style for comfort.
I've always believed that fashion and function should go hand in hand.
Now they do. Thank you for being part of this journey.
